Here are just SOME of the watercolor sketches done with the Thursday night group at Art Association of Harrisburg.

Sketches from "Coffeehouse Sketching" class

These are just some of the sketches I did using a fine tip marker (most of these are from the Carlisle Panera Bread ). Sorry to post so many, but I know I like looking at other people's sketches. These were done very quickly (trying not to be noticed as I sketched) using a continuous line type of sketching.

Security Blanket

I took this reference photo back in January, when my sister was visiting with her grandkids. This is my great niece, Izzy. I did not exaggerate those eyes.

"Side Show"

This picture was done from a photo I took at Jubilee Day in Mechanicsburg this summer. I liked the expressions and relationships of the people in the group, who all seemed to know each other. It was a challenge to paint smaller figures, but the entire painting is about 28" long. (The stripes were not in my reference photo).

Plein air in Carlisle

Commission

This was a commission done as part of an auction for my church.

Steam Engine Show

My friend and I went to the Steam Engine Show at Williams Grove and painted these vintage machines. It took days to get rid of the smell of the smell, but we had fun painting them.

PA Watercolor Society Opening

My model for "Coffee with Gwen" attended the PA Watercolor Society Show opening on Sunday. She and I were both delighted that my painting sold during the opening!

Rehoboth Trip

I went the the beach with friends a few weeks ago and did some painting on the beach and around town.
