Harold again

This is the same "Harold" picture I posted before but I worked on it a good bit since the "before" one so I thought I'd post it again.

Jean again

This is my second painting of Jean Pelletiere - She let me choose the hat and outfit. I started this when I was at Whidbey Island with Ted Nuttall's master class.

Harold

"Harold"  - photo credit: Julie Hagenbuch (Harold is Julie's grandpa's cousin...got that?)
I loved his look.

This is a pretty big painting (about 19"x19"). Took me longer than my usual sketches, that's for sure!

Ballet dancer

I did an initial painting of this dancer (from a local dance studio) and it was a complete flop. I used a corner of the paper to redo at least her face and I was much happier with it.

Still life experiments

Experimenting with different papers and styles in my Monday group.

Quick Portrait Sketches

One of the criminal photos I found online (reference photo was black and white). This was a quick sketch done in my Monday group.

Quick sketch of my sister's granddaughter Izzy who was just up from Florida for a visit. I plan to do a "real" portrait of her soon.
